JCC Board Soliciting Applications for Empty Seat

James City County’s Board of Supervisors is accepting applications to fill its recently vacated Jamestown District seat.

The seat was vacated by John McGlennon, who was recently redistricted into the Roberts District that he now represents after winning November’s election for that position. Read a recent story on the board’s decision on the selection process for the empty seat here.

The application process is open to qualified voters in the Jamestown District. Once the board chooses the final applications for consideration, interviews will take place during an open board meeting and interviews and discussions will be televised on JCC TV Channel 48.

The board is also asking that residents who would like to nominate someone in the district email the board at jccboard@james-city.va.us or send a letter to James City County Administration, P.O. Box 8784, Williamsburg, Virginia, 23187-8784.

A job description and application are available on the county website. Look here to see what neighborhoods are in the Jamestown District.
