Woman Fends Off Attacker in Tabb, Police Seek SuspectBy Sam Thrift Saturday, January 21, 2012

According to a press release, the victim was getting out of her car in the 100 block of Willowood Drive around 3 a.m. when a black male came up behind her, asking to speak with her. When she did not stop and kept walking towards an apartment he grabbed her by the arm and tried to stop her. The victim screamed and kicked the suspect, knocking him to the ground. She was able to make it safely to an apartment to call 911. The suspected was described as a being 35 to 40 years old, six foot to six feet two inches tall, with a medium build and a mustache. He was wearing a dark-colored hoodie with the hood pulled over his head. The victim sustained minor scratches on her arm from when she was grabbed. She said there were three other black males with the suspect, but they never approached her or said anything. Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888 LOCK-U-UP. |
