Redistricting Follow-Up Forum

The J4Cs, a community group, are hosting a forum Friday featuring the William and Mary Law Student group that submitted state redistricting maps as part of a statewide contest.

Law Student Brian Cannon and the members of his team will show and explain their maps, and there will be a question and answer session after the presentation.

The forum will be held on Friday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in room 120 of the William and Mary School of Law on South Henry Street.

United Way Annual Meeting

The United Way of Greater Williamsburg will hold its annual meeting Wednesday.

This year’s meeting will focus on the collaborations that help people who are the most vulnerable in the community. The partner agencies and the programs that serve thousands in our community will be recognized, too.

Bob Graves, the 2010 Board President will conduct the meeting. Last year’s Campaign Chair Marshall Warner will recognize business supporters and update the community on the 2010 campaign. Incoming Board members will be recognized and Bob Graves will also take the time to recognize Sharron Cornelius, Executive Director, who will be retiring the first week of April.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Historic Triangle Community Center on Waller Mill Road. The community is invited to attend. Please call the office at 253-2264 to RSVP.
