Williamsburg Notebook: Northeast Triangle Focus Group to Discuss Name IdeasBy Amber Lester Kennedy Sunday, March 27, 2011
The Northeast Triangle Focus Group will hold its regular meeting at 2 p.m. Monday at the Quarterpath Recreation Center. City Council tasked the group to study the area bounded by Merrimac Trail, Capitol Landing Road and Second Street. The seven-member group of volunteers will explore land usage, transportation needs, design expectations and the needs of residents and business owners. They also hope to give the area a marketable name. On Monday, they’ll discuss the comments they received at a March 15 public meeting and also discuss ideas for renaming the area. They’ll also talk about the format for an April 13 public meeting on Commercial Issues. Monday’s meeting will conclude with an open forum. More information is available at the Northeast Triangle Focus Group’s website.
