Read on for details. Williamsburg Offices Closed for Holidays City offices will be closed for the holidays on Dec. 23, 24 and 26 and on Jan. 2. BZA to Host Public Hearing for CW Tin Shop Request The Williamsburg Board of Zoning Appeals will host a public hearing at 4 p.m. Jan. 3 in the third floor conference room of the Williamsburg Municipal Building. The board will discuss a Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s request for special exception to reconstruct an 18th century tin shop next to the James Anderson Armoury complex. The property is located at 306 A East Duke of Gloucester Street. The building will replace the present Mary Stith Shop, which was built in 1940 without the benefit of modern historical research, according to the special exception application. The building represents an expansion of the Armoury project as originally proposed to the BZA in July 2010. |
