yorknotebook2York County will be providing plenty of events to celebrate the holiday season as we inch closer to Christmas, with Yorktown Market Days concluding its fifth season on Saturday before the Toyland Parade at Riverwalk Landing. Read on for more information below.

Toyland Parade in Yorktown
The fourth annual Toyland Parade will be this Saturday, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Riverwalk Landing in Historic Yorktown, and families are invited to take part by being in the festive holiday march.

Participants are encouraged to decorate a stroller or wagon, dress in holiday-themed apparel, and put their seasonal spirit on display for everyone to see. Dogs that are dressed in holiday attire are welcome in the parade as well. The parade will form and begin on the grassy area in front of the Riverwalk Landing fountain, just in front of the Stars and Stripes Forever shop.

The highlight of the event will feature a holiday parade throughout Riverwalk Landing at 1:30 p.m., led by Santa, Mrs. Claus and The Fifes and Drums of York Town.

You can mingle with Santa and drink hot chocolate later, with other activities taking place immediately after the parade.
